Hi Herb and Crew, Here are some shots that you won't see in Florida. On trips like these, I appreciate the 4-barrel and the big tires! Best to you all.

I have been a customer of the Lincoln/Mercury Old Parts Store for many years and have always been quite pleased with there knowledge and availability of parts to restore my Lincoln automobiles. Herb , Kelly and their staff are always eager to assist in any problems that I occur in the restoration. Pricing is always fair for the parts I purchase and always outstanding customer service.

In 1962 my Mother went to an estate auction in Dearborn MI with my Aunt and cousin. There she saw, and bid on an 2 year old blue Lincoln with appx 10,000 miles on the odometer. The next day she found out she was the highest bidder.

She brought the car home against my Fathers wishes, and It became a symbol of her defiance.

In 1971 with a bad rod knock and puffing oil, we parked that Lincoln in her garage where it became the largest shelf the garage had ever seen. For over 20 years it stayed buried under boxes of Xmas tree ornaments and misc. junk my parents piled on top of it. I wish I had a dollar for every time my Dad tried to sell the car for scrap metal. But Mom put him in his place every time, reminding him she was saving the Lincoln for John

In 1998 I contacted a transport company to meet me out in L.A.. I sourced 4 -14 inch tires that would hold air and started digging the car out. Finally I was able to push that Lincoln down the driveway on to the waiting auto transport, and shipped it to Virginia to start the process. I decided early on to keep the car stock, or as stock as possible. Over the last 20 years I have depended on the team from LMOP store for every issue I have had to address with my car.

Kelly, Herb and everyone there has worked with me at some point, with every aspect of every system I have had to rebuild. I have counted on their skill and expertise to get me where I am today. Even when they did not have an answer, they referred me to someone who did, and for me that is the epitome of Customer Service.

My 1960 Lincoln Continental MKV is a head turner at every car show I attend. It drives like a new car and rides like a dream thanks to one of LMOPS referrals. The best part of my restoration project is that every time I get in that car I am 16 years old again, and I think of my Mother and her defiance.

Thank all of you at The Lincoln / Mercury Old Car Parts Store for your patience with me and my project.

I could not have done it without YOU.

So please find enclosed a "tote" bag for you featuring the trunk emblem ( the one I made). I hope you enjoy it; it is a small thank youfor all your kindness and care. You and your crew have made myresurrection of "Carlota" a most pleasant exercise!
Very best regards, and best wishes to the family.

Just a note to say that I received the emblem and escutcheon in good order yesterday. It should work nicely to block the hole in the door panel!

Thanks again for all your help and the help of the other staff members. You folks are a great asset to collectors of wonderful old Mercurys and Lincolns.

Wishing you all a Happy 2018!
